Home prices have fallen. Mortgage interest rates are at historically low levels. And rents are on the rise. As a result, buying is currently more affordable than renting in 98 of the top 100 housing markets.
As the market gradually improves, moreover, housing will reclaim its traditional role as a safety investment.
